We are looking for an experienced programmer with expertise in application development, maintenance, and design to join our team. If you enjoy challenges, you're in the right place because you'll be developing game backends in PHP capable of handling thousands of requests per second from tens of thousands of concurrent players. Additionally, you'll be building various game worlds! Depending on the applicant's seniority, there is an opportunity to work on a completely new project based on the latest PHP and Domain Driven Design practices. We'll teach you how to scale at the level of web request processing and asynchronous processing using message queues. If you enjoy staying up to date with the latest development trends and want to keep pace with the latest trends in the world, we'll be one of the few places where you'll truly learn more than you might expect in our small Slovakia :)
Requires:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in PHP application development.
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills.
• Proficiency in MySQL (Mariadb), preferably experience with working on large databases.
• Knowledge of GIT (at least the basics).
• Active knowledge of Linux (we prefer development on Dockers, ideally on Linux or OSX).
• Experience with Symfony and Doctrine. It’s an advantage if you have experience with:
• scaling backends
• Swoole/OpenSwoole
• Redis.
• messaging and asynchronous workflows (SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• writing automated unit tests (eg PHP Unit, Codeception) or acceptance tests
• development of larger projects (500 or more tried).
• Active overview of design patterns, experience with dependency injection and practice with SOLID code writing style.
• development of applications in the style of Domain Driven Design.
