We are pioneering a new category of Enterprise SaaS in healthcare that intersects Large Language Models (LLMs), cloud-native software stack, and big data in biomedicine. Our breakthrough: a proprietary AI stack and purpose-built ontologies that analyze disparate and multimodal data (text, sequencing, expression, imaging, etc.), identifying patterns and extracting knowledge into a rapidly expanding semantic web so that humans can quickly find leads buried in mountains of information via an Explainable interface. We do this by leveraging recent advances in software, cloud computing, Knowledge Graphs, UI/UX and large language models.
The scope of the opportunity is massive: We estimate our target market for productivity and knowledge management within Biotech is around $50 billion and growing. There is a tsunami of multimodal data due to advances in optics, mass spectrometry, single-cell sequencing, and other techniques (e.g., CRISPR gene editing), significantly expanding the market opportunity.
With more than 95% of the 30,000 diseases known to mankind having no treatment or cure, this is where Generative AI can make the most significant impact.
About you
To achieve this ambitious goal, the company is extending its engineering team with an experienced full-stack engineer (front-end). This position is open to engineers worldwide, initially part-time and then full-time.
The recruit will routinely walk up and down the technology stack. The following should give you a good idea of the required expertise and tech-fu.
Key Responsibilities
Our web application is powered by the latest version of React, written in TypeScript. The company plans to convert it into a desktop application in addition to the classic web interface. The front-end engineer should be comfortable developing not only for the web browser but also for downloadable Elixir applications.
Since the lion's share of the business logic is hosted on AWS, close familiarity with the AWS Amplify JavaScript libraries is a welcome skill.
You'll get to craft components and pages in isolation using Storybook and Tailwind CSS based on pixel-perfect mobile-first Figma prototypes.
If you are familiar with block-based note-taking, the bloc protocol, it’ll boost your profile during the review.
Familiarity with charting library eCharts is another plus.
